Opening Winstub Granada — Episode 5: Bringing Alsace to Granada

Alsace vineyard — bringing Alsace to Granada

Winstub Granada will not be only about Flammekueche. The idea is to bring the feeling of an Alsatian table to Granada.

The table starts with the classics

There will be Bretzels, Alsatian cheeses and charcuterie, Munster, escargots and a drinks list that gives Alsace a real place on the table.

The wine list will be a meeting point too: Alsace, Spain and selected bottles from elsewhere in the world. Crémant d’Alsace will have its place alongside the wines.

For the cheese board, we are looking particularly to Alsace and Switzerland — two neighbouring traditions with plenty to discover.

And then there is Granada

The restaurant will not try to recreate a street in Strasbourg. Granada is part of the identity from the start.

The aim is a place where someone from Alsace can recognise the flavours, while someone from Granada can discover them naturally. Good food does not need a passport to make sense around a table.

The atmosphere matters

Wood, brick, plants, Alsatian references and a proper terrace will help create the setting. But the most important part will be the feeling: relaxed, welcoming and made for staying a little longer.

We want people to come for a Flammekueche and discover the rest of Alsace along the way.

Alsace is home. Granada is where we are building it.

That is the idea behind Winstub Granada. Not a museum of Alsace. Not a theme restaurant. A real Winstub spirit, adapted to the city we have chosen.
